Blessed Day

Above everything thank God for giving me this life, exactly 21 years ago I come to this earth, to live, to learn, to feel, etc, and striving to fulfill the task and expectation of Him. Yes thank you God, the creator of heaven and earth, for sending Jesus Christ to come to earth becoming human like me and bear all the pain and death on the cross, taking away my sins, destined to save and redeem people’s life by his own scarification, he rose from dead, conquered the death and brings victory over sins. I can do nothing but learn more on becoming more Christ-like, and love God, love my neighbours, more, more than what I’m now. Thank God for your love and patience and all the angels around me you send. Blessed day, blessed life.

Here’re the accounts:

Was trying to trust psycho notes forcefully into my head for the whole day in Nov 13, but didn’t think it work well… hmm…

Then in the evening had a random tea with Calvin and Ami at OldTown, roti bakar-which I heard it’s nice. Oh well it’s roti, hmm roti. Chatted and Ami’s so funny… mistaken this with that blablabla =P Calvin's as usual with this phrase, "See you in Europe..." ><

Then later had a dinner with Bunmi at Bagus cafe, we chatted and I’m glad that I’ve cleared all my doubts, he’s really a nice guy though. Am impressed with his experiences in sports and his vision after he graduated (which is on the progress already.) I think I should have a clear vision too in the future, should put it up for prayer and think about it thoroughly. Hmm…

Walked back to college finding Titan, Soon Peng and See Wooi playing badminton at basketball court. Delighted then I joined the game. Played for 2 hours until 10.30, rode bicycles for a few round (didn’t dare to u-turn, tak mahir lagi…), satisfied. (Now muscles ache like dunno-how-to-describe, we damaged all Ivan’s shuttle cock… sorry ivan…)

Back room and checked out XinHui’s flight to our place. Flight finally settled, yes she’s coming to sibu next September =D

Had a bath then went down for bday celebration (after all the drama XinHui and ChengKim made), then it’s usual happybday song and wishing, blow, cut and bite, then cut again then distribute. Was glad to see people around, thank you all of you nice people. =P

Went to davinci’s exhibition at pusat science Negara with Alex, the exterior of the building looked nice (at first). Then we went in and I was disappointed with the interiors, old, some machines not functioning, .....old again, then machines are basic…ok I’m not a kid anymore maybe that’s why I didn’t feel the fun playing with the lauzy machines… We went to the second floor for the exhibition, showed the tickets to the front desk guy (thanks again Daniel for the tickets =D), then went in. It’s awesome, overall, we got to see davinci’s biographies, in brief, monalisa (great analysis), his transcripts (real one), and all the descriptions and displays of the products of his thinking, be it in military engineering, music, mechanical principles, anatomy, art, sculpting… he’s amazing I should say, I wonder how ancient people think, they are really great thinkers and science practitioner, many of science principles nowadays are based on ancient people’s idea… which are literally came out from their head… why can’t people now have such HEADS leh?

After that we went to midvalley for lunch and trying to buy tickets for 2012, failed. Big big crowd there. So walked around and went to the home and living exhibition. Was overjoyed to see Reno&Décor magazine, and all the translations I’ve worked for in the previous month showing up in the latest issue… so bought the issue and read about it, I can’t believe I came out with those translations myself back then when I was insane with assignments (thanks jSean for the job though =P)…

Went to Times Square in hope to get tickets, failed. Sigh. Had Secret Recipe then back college, in the end. Thanks Alex for the ride and the day =D

Received a letter from ingchan in akashinishi, was happy about it i thought it's a nice oversee greeting until i read this sentence."the reason i send you this letter is because i wan to send you the photo that mom wants..." Then there's this photo of her enclosed in the letter, sigh... ==

Am thankful for the two interesting days (don mention studying and memorizing).

Thanks millions to everyone who greeted hapi bday. And the travel book and note book from Kai, Yen and Jia ^ ^ I really appreciate it. May God bless all of you and Good Luck in everything =D.

I'm a plump astronaut... malaysia bolehhhh!!!

Alex sending himself to the stomach of the ____ .

Walking down. A long long way...

since photo taking's not allowed... so take outside lo...

One of the models taken in davinci's exhibition, secretly, with the security camera right on top of me... should've taken mona lisa's too... but there's always a many people there and the staffs're wandering there so frequently... =P

Ing chan's letter... sent nov 6, reached my hand nov 14 :P

After a few weeks....

It’s been a long time. Now it’s come to study week, I’m recalling my memories...

25.03.09 Choir competition! After months and months of practices, there we were, performing the songs that we were practicing hard for. We were so nervous when we were at the back stage, kept telling each other to relax. Looking at other college teams made us (or me) even more nervous. Lucky we were in the second team to go up the stage and sing and we didn’t need to bother about other team after that. XD We got the fourth place, it’s quite a disappointed result but we knew we had done out best. I’m grateful that I joined choir and actually sang on the stage, it’s a brand new experience for me. (I can’t believe myself singing on stage, it’s not really my thing, and especially with all the ridiculously heavy makeup…) Thanks for all seniors and friends who helped and supported us.

26/27.03.09 Entrepreneurship day. We sold (not many) things, which were Chinese cuttings and crafts, nuts and plums, sushi bread roll, sandwishes, and inai. (just did the presentation, still fresh in mind…) It’s fun, selling things and begging people to come and buy our products…(Although buying is more fun…). I like the Chinese cuttings very much, they’re really arts… I’m very impressed by those people who cut the papers… Our sushi bread roll was ok, though I like it more when we did it ourselves in college. Sangi drew Inai for me, it’s pretty, she’s really talented in arts… We ended the day with RM150 profit...

28.03.09 Rehearsal day for our play. It’s kinda a waste of time since not everybody was there. But we had the whole thing gone through. Later mian yen and me went for dim sam with ah siong, yam yam…

29.03.09 Farewell for Darius. We went all the way to Mont Tiara, nearly got lost. We had dinner at Boston as Darius had vouchers with him. As usual, we took a lot a SS pics and laughed absurdly at jokes, which were mostly cold since there’re two big jokers there… On the way back Darius went to a wrong lane and we entered a mysterious dark uncompleted highway. It’s really spooky. Lucky we got out safe and sound. Phew…

30.03.09 Ing Chan flew to Japan. I planned to go to KLIA on the night before and came back early in the morning for class but thanks to my sister, my mom warned me not to go there, dangerous, she said. Oh well… I was sad I didn’t talk to her well before she left, thanks to her lousy phone, low battery. I didn’t even greet her goodbye. But to think of it, if I went to airport, I’d just come back with swollen eyes, shall I say I’m lucky I wasn there? Now she’s all ok in Japan, thank Lord for that. Pray that, Lord, for her protection and spiritual fulfillment in the hard land.

04.04.09 Play performance. We did it at the audi in edu fac. Every group did well since we had short practices before that. Everyone was cute and funny acting up on the stage. I was a narrator so I stood down there and read lines. Not satisfied with myself, there were some “mis-pronunced” words…Sigh…

05.04.09 A trip to elephant sanctuary with Prof G and coursemates. It’s located at Kuala Gandar (not sure the spelling), Pahang. We went in van for around one and a half hour and we dropped by deer park before we went to elephant sanctuary. We went in there and fed deers, the deers were all hungry. Whenever they saw people with food, they would all rush there and eat the food. It’s kind of aggressive but pity them, I guess they were not given enough food by the ‘deer’-keeper because they needed to entertain WE visitors… Then we went to play with pythons, took photo with them, I mean. It’s not as scary as I though, I could feel it moving on my hand, kekeke… it’s fun looking at mel and sangi sambil screaming sambil making pose for photo shooting; billie and mary’s disgusted faces, and mian’s frightened face. Yin’s very natural with ‘em though. Then we went to look at bears and monkeys, then we left to elephant sanctuary. We reached there shortly after that. We watched an half-an-hour video about how elephants are protected. Then we went to feed elephants. After that, elephant ride. Each person got to ride on it once. I rode with mel, she was so scared behind me…. Keke… It rained right after that, cats and dogs… but it didn’t stop us from going to the next activity, “bathing” with the elephants. It’s not exactly bathing. We went beside a lake, people sat on the elephants and it would walk a few steps and threw all people down into the lake. It’s fun though the water is NOT VERY clean. Everyone was playing happily in the water. Unfortunately when it’s mel and my turn, the ‘shop’ was closed. The elephant went back and we didn’t get into the water with the elephant. When I thought everything ended; accepted the fact that I was not going to get wet; happy with it since I didn’t bring an extra pants with me and it’s time to go back; I was set up by mian sangi amy and tim, being thrown into the lake. I had to borrow pants from Jared… so embarrassing… Finally we reached college at six something, all exhausted and satisfied with the trip. Thanks Prof G for bringing us there, and everyone for the fun I had.

07.04.09 ESL test. Didn't really study for it so... CC farewell that night... Not everybody was there...the director was cute... can compete with mkc director in giving opening speech. A memorable night that we saw many seniors crying... lucky i was not infected by crying-bugs, i was strong enough that night. Wish all graduating seniors a good future ahead... am going miss you guys...

08.04.09 Grammar test. It turned out sad. Sigh… We had our last class with Prof G and Dr. Aini. So sad that they are retiring, two good lecturers. Though I didn’t like Aini’s, but she’s really good as she cares for us… like a secondary school teacher. Feel guilty for always sleeping in class… Sorry prof-s. Besides, I missed the last PKV meeting….I heard everyone was there… sigh…. See ya guys next sem then…

10.04.09 Good Friday. I went to church for Easter production. They drama was awesome, the crew really worked on it. It reminded me of Jesus, his crucification, it’s so important for us that without him, there’ll be no us. Pastor taught about love and forgiveness, we have to forgive people like how God forgive us. And we have to fight the devil off from destroying our relationship with God… Yes, we’re gonna do it!

11.04.09 Archuleta’s showcase. I went to sunway pyramid with sangi+sister+boyfriend mel and aini in the morning. We had lunch and went to meet up with digi people, to get ourselves registered then we went to wait for the shuttle bus to the elephant walk. The bus was super crowded. We only got in the second bus, squeezed in… We’re really like tuna fish… We reached there at 3, it’s darn crowded at the entrance… securities were shouting, people were squeezing and (maybe not) pushing. We were lucky to get a VIP pass and got in without much trouble. There’s a long walk before we got to the place where the showcase was held. There’s a big crowd, and everybody was screaming. I was too dehydrated to scream… David Archuleta reached there late…. As expected…. Before he performed there were three artists singing, one was (I dunno the name-he’s some first runner up in astro song competition)… I like his dancing; another was (forgot the name already… from one in a million…) guy… then later was Daniel from malaysian idol. Then there he came… everybody screamed like crazy… He was so adorable…His vocal was so powerful… Wuu… like ‘im. (However if it’s cook it’ll be even more exciting…) He sang six songs and then ‘wpoof’, bye bye. It’s really nice seeing him singing from a close distance… Thanks Melissa for bringing me there…

(12.04.09 Will be going to church and pc fair…. Looking forward to it…. Yay…)

Thank God for everything. ^ ^

Different Weekend...

I hopped on almost all public transportations in three days. Taxi, bus, LRT, Monorail, and KTM. Ah Sis (IngChan) and me brought dad and mom and bros to look around in KL.

IngChan and me always walked fast that we needed to stop for a while after we walked for some time to wait for them to catch up. This's obviously the difference of people living in a city and in a small town. I miss walking slow...Bros were so annoying, they kept bugging us to go back to the hotel after a little walking. The small one's forgivable but the big one isn't. Weak... >.<

IngChan's graduation's been great. It's simple and fast. It's delighting to see her getting the result that she's been working hard for. Everybody looked smart and cheerful. Her Jap teacher still recognized me, it's very sweet of her. We got a little problem communicating since she talked little English and I talked no Japanese.

Reluctantly, i attended the super boring APK seminar session which requires us to write a report on it. It's better off not come back and stay with my parents, but for the marks' sake, I was there.

We had a choir practice that afternoon. The seniors invited a tutor to teach us how to sing properly. I felt warm listening to a familiar Chinese slang, only then i realised that she's from Sarawak... ^ ^

We had MKC rehearsal last night. It's smoother than last time's. Although there were some mistakes, i believe we'll all fix it until the real day comes.

The drums came and here we are practicing with the real thing. I hope we can practice it well on time.

Now that my mom and dad went back to Sibu, i'm trying to switch my mood again from the moment of sad feeling seeing them waving goodbye in the bus to LCCT. Waving goodbye is always the saddest part of leaving, especially from someone you love. Sometimes i hope i'm cold blooded who feels nothing about sadness.

If only i can.

Tired.

Chap Goh Meh

I never thought of celebrating Chap Goh Meh until Alan asked su yi, darius and me out after pkv meeting.

We went to pasar malam, which at first i thought we're only going to pasar malam then we could go back college. (so many work to do...) I bought fruits, many fruits for kim, chur and myself. (gotta buy as many as possible since we got a car, and there's a guy carrying stuffs for us)

However later we went to subang for bah kut teh. It's delicious. Darius's good in ordering and bancuh tea. Again I thought we were going back after that, ya know, work to do...

Then darius suggested we went to a higher ground to go for a night view.

Off we went to puteri 12, puchong. The sight of the city is beautiful. It's nice being there, we took SS pictures, fed mosquitoes, and discussed about the moon.

Finally we went to cherlene's apartment at SS17 to bring the bananas that she asked us to buy for her.

I did something stupid. I left my bag there at cherlene's house, making darius to return to the same place to grab my bag.

Sorry darius.

Finally we reached um at around 11pm. Alan joked we had a long meeting today, from 3 to 11pm.

Yen's waiting for me with empty stomach.

Sorry Yen.

To think of it, if i put away the eagerness of going back college to finish my work, it'll be so much more fun. (i managed to put it away when we reached puchong)

The songs in darius's car're so soothing. I felt so relaxed.

We had a really good time talking, joking to each other, without any pressure...

Thank God for getting us together. It's a blessed day.

Happy Chap Goh Meh.

TESL, Sem I 2008/2009

Another two days I’ll be going back to Sibu. Another three hours I’ll leave my laptop. This is the end of my course, TESL, my very first sem, for four and a half months. It’s really a blink of an eye, four months’ gone. I’ve nearly forgotten everything I did until I glanced through my photo album in my laptop the other day, it’s an amazing time I’ve spent here!

Taking this course makes me realize how limited my English language is and how urgent it is for me to improve my language, or it’d be my future students’ learning to be affected, and my future job to be gambled. Aside from this I do learn something, on teaching methods and more on language. In Prof G’s class we played games and looked at different approach to teach English; Pn Norini’s class we focused on teaching literature, especially on reader response; Dr. Rashid’s class we learned more about linguistics; KM class we knew how to use the library resource; Dr Wendy’s class we looked at the ethnics relation in our country; Ms Charity’s class we looked at different literature texts; and Dr Sabeshan’s class we learned more about physical education. It’s unbelievable I took seven courses in this short period of time, though I understand I’m no longer in high school anymore, it’s still amazing to find myself still survive after all the late-night-assignments, unnecessary suppers, club meetings, endless outing, spend-thrift-ing, and endless chatting. I’m glad I come here to UM, to this course, to seven college, that I know many kind and lovely course mates, friends and seniors.

First I’d like to mention my BigHand seniors, namely YeePheng, YenTing, Anna and HorngCheng, whom I wrote letters to during CC interaction week. It’s joyful knowing them, especially Anna who’s the first senior I went out with, to the church. Anna’s a cute yet mature person who has a personality of her own, I like especially to go out with her, we call it outing. I’m looking for more trips with her, though it won’t be often next sem, I’ll still enjoy it. YeePheng and YenTing are very standard seniors who always gives advice to me, on how to deal with college things, while I usually meet HorngCheng at IS studying, I call him hardworking-people.

My roommates, ChengKim and MengChui, who come from Kuching and Kajang. MengChui goes home every weekend so our room will look bigger every weekend. She is a quite person with strong mathematical skills. She’s really good in it. I hope to have more talking with her, to know her more… ChengKim never leaves the college and she will sleep with the lights on when I’m not in the college. She’s a nice girl who always takes care of the rooms’ cleanliness. She mops the floor, washes the fan, helps me tidy my messy desk, thanks ya my dearest roommate, I’m such a troublesome person…

My (closer) course mates,
Lesley is a girl who is very talented in musical field, knowledgeable, I always feel joy talking with her, especially while discussing about Christianity and the bible.

Amy, who is monkey-liked, is very cute (monkey cute), she is very serious with her studying. I hope I can have half of here seriousness...

Yin Yin’s another hardworking person, who seldom comes out for activity, rather, I guess, maybe, studying.

Crystal, very good in singing and dancing, a girl with unique personality, and whose feeling is always EVOKED by literature texts, I like her reading poems, full of emotion.

June, who likes to read, I hope I can read her whole collection, is a very cheerful girl, very knowledgeable as well, though sometimes got a little bit over-reacting on Lesley, it’s her cheerful personality that always draw laughter in the gang.

Melissa, a firm God-believing girl. I admire her for her able-to-open-up-herself personality, she can cry when she wants to cry, laugh loudly and crazily when she wants to laugh, sing when she wants to sing, crap loudly when she wants to crap… Haha… Thank you Melissa very much for praying with and for me before the examinations. Let’s go church together next sem.

Shangeetha, a year younger than us, a girl who is very good in English, will stand firm to her own opinion, Hope we can work better together next time, in assignments. God bless and remember to come to church.

KaiChur, a girl who is very firm in religion, an admirable and caring person she is, like to be with her. I’d have to thank her for her willingness to accompany me study before every paper, enjoy studying with her. One thing to KC, can I always be the 2-year-old girl with you? Ehehe…

ShinYen, we have a number of things in common, both of us like JayChou, have a brother who we have to buy clothes to, speak the same dialect. She’s according to KC, aunty balia, is too a knowledgeable girl whom I want to keep up with. My potential big sister… AhYen sister please go set up a blog and play blogging la…

FeiMian, another girl younger than us, really little girl, very emotional girl, likes to cry a lot.She seems to know everything about artists and songs… Both of us have serious lazy bug inhabited in our body so sometimes when we are together the lazy state will grow to the peak and, well… lazy bug club…

Jared, a smiling person, you can always see him smiling, though dunno what he is smiling about, but I always feel joy and peace seeing that. An adorable person who can speak mandarin but not tamil… always feel stress –less with him…

PKV gang,
Alan, new outing-club president, always bringing the outing club member out, I had fun outing with him. I believe we can make pkv CM better.

Wan Zhao, who is very generous in bringing junior around in her car, though she likes to go into wrong direction… Had fun outing with her once in a while, she is a very lovable person.

Jen Hann, ex-president, who is strong in faith, looking forward to talk more about faith with him…

Christopher, talkative person, really talk non-stop until you feel like slapping him in the face, but he is good in person and he’s really good in outing… hope got more time to go outing with him next time.

Oh ya, Buddy! JiaJia buddy is always cute, especially with her voice, she provides me with notes and advices everytime I need it or even when I don need it… haha thanks ya buddy…

Another one, SzeSze who’s a DBSK lover, seldom do I find DBSK lover here and she’s an extreme one… hahaha…get all the latest musics and videos of DBSK from her, a delightful senior who also always gives us advice and opinion on everything…

There are so many stunning people here in the campus who I can’t mention all… glad to meet with everyone… ^ ^

Last but not least, my dearest sister! She's always busy with her college and church and she's the one who always decline outing invitation, from me, of course. I always want to go out with her,to spend more time with her, walking, talking, eating, everything... Got to catch every free moment both she and i have to go out, right, Ing?

From a blur-blur-dunno-anything-state during orientation until now still-blur-blur-but-know-something state, I’m glad that God guide me through. He is always with me, comforting me when I’m weak, though I regret for not seeking him earlier and thoroughly, I believe I can do better in seeking him for the time to come. Now I realize why my dad prohibited me to study account in local college but ask me to go to form six. I believe it’s the work of God who has everything planned for me, I just have to follow and be obedient and do my best in everything with his guidance and love… Yes Lord, thank you for everything.

BurstDay

I was doing revision in Kaichur’s place when Bell gave me my bday gift, on Nov 12 night, it’s the laptop bag that I thought of buying in second semester! I was interested in it since I saw it a few weeks ago when I went to Digital Mall with Bell and Ung. Now it’s in my hand, a precious bday gift from Anna aka BellBell aka BigHand, Jess aka neighbour, Fish, ChiaSing aka JiaJia aka buddy, LiChin aka smooth, Alan aka UngUng aka president, WeiLiem, KaiChur aka Kaichu, ShinYen aka AhYen, Arul, Shangeetha, Melissa aka Molestsa, FeiMian aka Mian, ChengKim aka JingJing aka roommate, MengChui aka roommate, SuYi aka secretary, Gregory aka Gaygory, Ke Sin aka Crystal aka KeKe, Jun Hui aka June, Amy aka AhMi, Lesley, Sharon, WeiYin, SingEe and PheiShi, thank ya all for the gift and greeting, I really appreciate it, and again to JiaJia buddy for the cute doggy, Ing for the octopus paper clip, YeePheng BigHand for the bracelet, Andrew for blue-ing church songs to me, YenTing BigHand for the encouraging year planner, YinYin for TheBodyShop thingy and everyone else who sent greetings to me…^_^

Last night my classmates gave me an unexpected surprise celebration, though it’s been spoiled by Bell’s sms, it’s still very delighting. They got me a bday cake, square, with two lollipops in the middle as the candles, I’d to bite both the ‘candles’ out in one go, thanks to KaiChur’s BRILLIANT idea, it’s heart-warming. Lucky I wasn’t being pushed into the little-pretty-but-a-bit-dirty fish pond in our college, I’ve seen so many people be being pushed into the pond for the past few days… I’d have to thank Nana, ShiWei and PoayHoon for dropping by too…

It’s a really blessed day that I know that God provide everything for me. He sends his blessings to me via all the people around me, it’s by his grace and mercy that I’m here surrounded by so many lovely people though I’m not at home with my family. ^ ^ Am listening to a song… “… where would I be if not for love, where would I be if not for grace…”
