The Victorious Lamb

The Victorious Lamb - An Exposition on the Book of Revelation, is written by Rev Dr Tie King Tai, the current principal of Methodist Theological School, Sibu.

An excerpt from the book:
At a party, a doctor was chatting with a lawyer. Their chatting was interrupted buy a woman. The woman insisted on telling the doctor about a pain in her leg. She asked the doctor what to do about it. The doctor advised her. After she went away, the doctor asked the lawyer,"Do I have a right to send that woman a bill for my professional services?" The lawyer replied,"Certainly." The next day the doctor sent the woman a bill to charge her for his advice. But the doctor also received a bill-from the lawyer. He was also charged by the lawyer for the lawyer's advice of one word-"certainly". This lawyer is truly marvelous in sending the doctor a bill! (pg 154)

Some quotes:
Many people go on living a sinful life today as if there would be no judgment at all; as if they are not accountable for what they are doing today.

We are all born with determination, we just need to use it.

Faith is a living, busy, active, powerful thing; it is impossible for it not to do good continually. It never asks whether good works are to be done, but has done them before there is time to ask the question, and it is always doing them.

We need to rule our time, our life, our family, our work, our study, and so on with excellence - we need to act like a king to do the excellent job for God in all the things we do now.

It's a great book which explains The Book of Revelation in detail, and it challenges Christians to rethink our relationships with God. Are we prepared for the day to come? For "the time is near" and "the day of the Lord will come like a thief"

The Lord’s Prayer

Read this from makeadifference.com, TheLordPrayerMovie, now i have more understanding on what The Lord's Prayer is about.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in Heaven
Our Heavenly Father aligns my thinking; expand my understanding as I seek connection with you first, before everything else.

Hallowed be thy name
I praise and honor you by the way I treat your creations. Through your grace, I experience your wholeness and perfection.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
May your divine order be accepted and practiced throughout the world. Rich, loving Father show me the way.

On earth as it is in Heaven
May I be awaken to your direction and your divine wisdom that you have place within me.

Give us this day our daily bread
I trust that, with your guidance all my needs and divine desires will be provided for.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us
Help me to forgive others’ mistakes, so that I may be forgiven mine.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
Life me up over times of challenge and despair, steady and strengthen me through your power to make choices that cause no harm to myself or others.

For yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever.
As your divine child, I accept my heritage to your Kingdom, I feel your power within me, and I demonstrate your Glory by shining my light as I experience joy and Oneness with you, to be a living example of what humanity can be, now and forever…

Amen

Inspiring text

A friend sent this to my via hotmail:

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, no. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, no. His spirit is whole. His body is just temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, no. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it's learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, no. I give you blessings; happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, no. Suffering draws you away from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, no. You must grow on your own, but i will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that i might enjoy life.
God said, no. I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

This Day is yours, do not throw it away.

May God bless you, To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might just be the world.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and give you peace forever.

Good friends are like stars, you don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
