The Victorious Lamb

The Victorious Lamb - An Exposition on the Book of Revelation, is written by Rev Dr Tie King Tai, the current principal of Methodist Theological School, Sibu.

At a party, a doctor was chatting with a lawyer. Their chatting was interrupted buy a woman. The woman insisted on telling the doctor about a pain in her leg. She asked the doctor what to do about it. The doctor advised her. After she went away, the doctor asked the lawyer,"Do I have a right to send that woman a bill for my professional services?" The lawyer replied,"Certainly." The next day the doctor sent the woman a bill to charge her for his advice. But the doctor also received a bill-from the lawyer. He was also charged by the lawyer for the lawyer's advice of one word-"certainly". This lawyer is truly marvelous in sending the doctor a bill! (pg 154)

It's a great book which explains The Book of Revelation in detail, and it challenges Christians to rethink our relationships with God. Are we prepared for the day to come? For "the time is near" and "the day of the Lord will come like a thief"

Before 30 years old

I've just finished reading Pastor Philip Mantofa's autograph, namely Before 30 Years Old. He is a person of great passion and commitment to God, having an intimate relationship to God, God uses him to bless so many people. The book talks about his journey of receiving God as his master and how he brings revival to churches in Indonesia and churches around Asia. He challenges Christians to give our lives fully to Lord Jesus which requires a great sacrifice.

Another quote i heard in church this morning, when Pastor Lau preached on how to become a true disciple for Christ:

Pastor Lau said, "Being a disciple of Christ pays a price, however, not being a disciple of Christ pays a greater price."
