GB Christmas Party

The annual GB Christmas Party was held this afternoon. As usual, it was organised by Pioneer girls, i.e. Form 4 or 5 girls. It started with a combined praise and worship session, then with song presentation from each sections, singing songs with actions. I love Cadet's presentation, they sang the song with the cute innocent looks, especially Mdm YenYen's two year old girl who hardly sang and did actions but she's really adorable up there... Haha... Later there's a sharing session by Pastor Lau. She talked about the "Gift" of Christmas, i went out for games preparation so i missed it.

The Cadets and Juniors came down for games after sharing and gift-exchanging session was done. YeeUng, YuXuan, MimMim, YaBing, KimYing and me brought them to the games session. They played several games, i'm glad that they responded very well to us, each participated in the games will full anticipation, although the games didn't work as what we planned it should be... YuXuan did most of the talking, she's really gifted with the ability to communicate with children... The girls couldn't understand what i was talking, or what i was trying to explain to them, but she helped me out to explain almost everything to the girls, it's blessed to have her there. It's fun seeing them playing, some are so small that while the were playing, they need bigger girls for assistance. They worked hard to achieve the first prize, though they need to improve on the way of taking care all girls in the team, especially on the safety of the younger girls.

After that the girls had a little prayer then they dismissed, bringing their gifts, prizes and souvenirs back. I had a little photoshot with the officers and my dearest GB partners. Then we cleaned up things, chatted a little with the officers while later YuXuan, KimYing, MimMim and me went off for a tea since KimYing will be leaving tomorrow for UMS. We went to Tea Room and changed two seats before we found the place that we wanted to sit. It's embarrassing and fun doing that... Haha... The price there were reasonable, food was ok, but the most important part was the chatting part... I'm grateful that we gathered, and the next time we do that, it will be a year later.

I'm really delighted for today's event, feeling energized from the children laughters, although i woke up with a headache and sore throat, which is the consequences of days and days of sleeping late, ignoring my parent's advice. I dare not tell them or else i'll see mom's dreadful disappointed expression which i'll feel very guilty about it. Headaches go away...

(Souvenirs i received from Mdm Debbie during MLM and today...the heart means we have to put in our heart in everything we do; the foot means we have to follow Jesus's footsteps; the hand, which she gave us today, means we do things with our hands, useful, meaningful things...i learn a lot from her testimonies, she's dedicated in children ministry, a devoted Christian...Thank you Mdm Debbie!)
